AI offers significant promise to healthcare in areas as far reaching as diagnostics, chronic health management and discover of new drugs. It also poses ethical challenges both to those who develop it and also to those who utilise it. This talk will look at some of the specific ethical issues presented by clinical research using AI including data bias, intellectual property rights, data access, accountability, transparency and explainability with examples from relevant ethical submissions.
