12th EMWA Symposium

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in medical writing is a transformative movement that is reshaping the landscape of our profession. The 57th European Medical Writers Association (EMWA) Conference presents a hybrid symposium as an informative and educational event, whether you are already a medical writer/communicator or whether you are exploring it as a career option. 

The symposium provides a 360-degree approach, from technological perspectives of AI tool developers, to ethical consideration, intellectual property (IP) and copyright concerns that may arise whilst working with AI tools. Presentations will cover various use-cases in regulatory documents, scientific publications and ways in which information collected by AI tools is processed. Industry perspectives will share insights into what is expected from a medical writing unit in these changing times, along with the new skills that medical writers will be expected to learn. 

This symposium will also provide an overview of how medical communicators can adapt to the current opportunities and will raise awareness of the potential impact AI can have on patient engagement and communications.
